As we prepare to head into BWL there are a few things we need to do in preparation. BWL was a far step away from the tank and spank strategies we used in ZG and MC. Instead of 1 MT and 1 or 2 OT we will be using up to 5 MTs. Hunters will no longer just be pulling and putting up your crazy dps, there are several intricate pulls and "Kites" that are going to happen. In order to facilitate this, every hunter and warrior MUST pvp to earn the boot reward from AB. Defiler's Mail Greaves or Defiler's Plate Greaves as is appropriate. The increased run speed buff from the boots will become very important during the Razorgore encounter. We will also make sure you get the improved run speed enchant on them as well.
For your effort you will receive 20 DKP. Much more important than that, you will help your Guild advance as we will need that run speed for the encounter. If you have any questions, pls msg me or mail me in game. If you already have the boots, fantastic, you will receive a 20 DKP bonus as well. (This bonus applies to all characters and Alts.)

It doesn't require Defiler's rep anymore, just honor and AB tokens. You can buy the boots from a vendor in Hammerfall, just outside the AB portal.

Aw, man. I HATE pvp. But I guess I will suck it up and take one for the team. See you in AB, where I will be the dead one on the ground...

I have been told that yes it does stack. Thats actually the whole point. We're going to be kiting around these mobs.. and the faster we go, the less hits we take.

Yeah your shaman should also get the run speed enchant as they will also be kiting. Thats if you want the "lol-easymode" style RG of course.

I think I might just get the minor speed enchant as opposed to using 4k honor and 20 marks on those Defiler ones. That honor is better put to use for me to get some HWL gear to replace my few remaining blues.

Actually you didn't waste anything. Unless you happen to have a spare set of Epic boots lying around. The speed enchant is only useful for 1 boss in BWL. Do you really want to remove a useful enchant for a run speed enchant? Either way it makes sense to have these boots, unless you have upgraded your epic boots to newer epic boots, or have better boots than these.
