These are our Rules. They have always been in effect, but they've never really been in one place written down. In order to be promoted to "Exiled Raider" and therefore be able to attend raids you must have read these Rules and signed underneath. You must be Karazhan attuned and Level 70. When signing, please include the name of your main as well as the names of all of your alts in the guild so that they can get promoted to the proper rank. This post may be modified as the guild changes, but most of these rules are pretty generic and therefore should withstand the test of time.
1. Be nice.
We joined a guild to find people who can help us with quests, instances and to have fun with. Cruelty OR RACISM towards other members is not tolerated and will result in being /gkicked without warning. Harmless joking around is still encouraged. Personal attacks are not.
2. Don't embarass us or yourself.
Foul language, begging, ninjaing or anything along these lines is not tolerated. This goes for in-guild as well as in general chat. Violation of WoW's TOS is also a no-no.
3. Help if you can.
I do not expect people to drop a Black Morass group because someone is asking for help in Scarlet Monastary. If however you are in Nagrand farming for ore and someone asks for help downing an elite in Nagrand, pls help them.
4. Don't expect the guild to level your toon.
We are an endgame raiding guild, not a leveling guild. While asking for help is encouraged, if noone can help you, or people are busy don't whine about it. I have seen entirely too much of this lately. The lower level instances (anything below MC) are unneccessary for the majority of the guild. Don't plan on having us run you through them for gear.
5. DKP
DKP is earned during raids. DKP is handed out by the officers, usually LorenSoth. Standard DKP is as follows:
5 DKP for being ontime. (This means at the instance by Raid start.)
10 DKP per boss downed
5 DKP for being in the Raid at the end
DKP is also available by gathering specific Mats used in raid pots and other items. Speak with PM about pot mats for info.
DKP may also be handed out at the discretion of the officer in charge for special circumstances. (ie Raid performing exceptionally well.)
When items drop you may bid up to all of your DKP on any item that drops. It is suggested however that common sense is used. (ie weapons with +int will not be going to warriors.)
Minimum bid on any purple item is 20 DKP and bidding should be done in increments of 5 (at least).
DKP is earned per character unless otherwise denoted by the Officer in charge.
6. People with "Applicant" or "Exiled Member" Rank will earn DKP for raids, but may not spend it until they have reached "Exiled Raider" Rank. This requires 3 Raids and signing this document. (We will allows non-Raiders to bid on them if everyone passes.)
7. Alts may be brought into the guild once you have reached member status. Remember however, we are an endgame raiding guild. Our goal is NOT to level your alt. There are however usually enough people with alts to help out.
8. Speak with your class officer about your build.
While we do NOT require anyone to respec their character, some builds are more valuable in raid. Shadow Priests and DPS Warriors fall into this category. It is far more likely that a Tank or Healing priest will be needed on a raid, but this doesn't mean you won't be able to raid.
9. Get on VENT.
You must be able to listen during raids. You can't listen if you don't have vent. (We're working on the MAC users issues.) Listening during a RAID is required. Members not listening, taking long afk breaks, or being disruptive in Vent will be demoted and will not be allowed to raid until we feel you have learned how to listen.
10. Use common sense.
This is my catchall. Before doing something think to youself, will this help the guild. Would the officers think this was a good idea. Would my mother be proud if she saw me doing this. We're here to have fun, keep it fun. Don't take the game too seriously. Respect those in the guild.
These are our Rules, there is nothing new here (except the bit about being an Exiled Raider). There is nothing in here that can't be extrapolated from the very first rule, "BE NICE". Thank you for reading and look forward to raiding with all of you.
