i found a neat little jewelcrafting guide from someone who is beta testing BC. it's a PDF that gives you the list of mats and recipes to get to 300 plus a run down on what to expect from the profession and how it ties to the game. it's quite informative, though keep in mind blizzard may be making some changes yet. check it out:
