Garr casts Antimagic Pulse which removes buffs so no buffing is needed for this fight. Also before engaging in this fight you must keep two very important things in mind. Garr's attack speed increases with every Firesworn slain. With 5 Firesworns slain Garr's his attack speed is greatly increased. The second thing is very rare, but can happen. If Garr is succesful in making his firesworn explode, a swarm of miniature "Garrs" begin to pour into the room and explode shortly thereafter making it almost impossible to down him.
First of all hand out the targets starting with the tank targets. The easiest way is to make a assist macro (/assist ....) so when he/she targets that mob and calls your name all you have to do is hit the macro. You need to have a combination of at least 9 tanks/locks altogether to do this fight. You will destroy the OT target's first. The guards that don't have a tank on them will need to be banished. When the guards get to 30% all melee attackers will need to run away since the guards explode at 0%. After destroying the OT guards, the raid will need to focus on Garr. Except for the warlocks who need to keep the remaining guards banished at all times. After defeating Garr, the warlocks or MT should chose a target to not be rebanished and the raid should attack the unbanished target. Remember that melee attackers will need to run away at 30%. Lava Surgers will not respawn after this fight.
