That’s right Molten Core on March 16th!!
Remember invites have been pushed back an hour to 6:30pm Server Time to allow West Coast people a chance to get home from school and work. So we can be moving out by 7pm.
With Ragnaros dieing with incredible ease on March 9th, the hope now is to improve upon Friday, with changes to the rules to reflect the fact the raid last week had more out of guild members then intended. The goal now is kill Ragnaros faster then before, and if everything goes well on Friday, we will do BWL on March 23rd, with AQ40 on March 30th!!!
Below are the new rules;
2.0 – Loot
As most if not all gear within MC is now obsolete, nearly everything within the instance will be given out to the raid members.
2.1 – Legendary Items
Though these items are no longer the best items within the game, they are still sought after due to their rarity and look. So both the Thunderfury binding off Garr and Ragnaros’s legendary item will be opened to the raid group. The second binding for thunderfury will remain in the guild if it drops as several warrior require it. However, just to note to those worried about legendary items, that the chances of one dropping are slim, I’ve ran dozens of MC runs to see only 3 bindings drop off Garr and that’s it. Also in respect to Garr’s binding, if someone has the other binding and can prove it, they will have first dibs on the binding, as getting your second binding is truly impossible.
2.2 – Lava/Fiery Cores, Green/Blue loot drops, Core Leathers, Dark Iron, Gems
All Lava Cores, fiery cores, and Green/Blue loot will be master-loot during the Molten Core raid, and will be handed out once Ragnaros is dead. The method used will be to distribute the loot, by having all the raid members do a /random, and from highest to lowest, each raid member will be select something from all the loot collected along the way. So the person who rolls the highest could select a Blue/Green drop, then the next highest, will pick something after him.
In addition all Core Leathers and Dark Iron Ore will be collected by a designated skinner and miner, who will mine Dark Iron Veins and skin Core Hounds for the raid. Once Ragnaros is dead, all Leather and Ore along with any Blood of the Mountain or diamonds that may have been found will be handed over to Raogrimm, or the highest ranking officer or leader present. And will be distributed along with the other items collected along the way in the /random by raid members, and the items will be distributed out among the raid members from highest to lowest, with each winner deciding if they want a nexus crystal (see below), core leather.
Special note, to speed things up, stuff like Cores, leather, and dark iron ore will be given out in groups, so a person would recieve all the Dark Iron Ore, or all the Lava Cores.
Also any BoE epic gear not taken will be given out as well.
2.4 – Epic Gear
To keep things fair, all loot will be rolled on by those of the respective class, or weapon skill able to use the item, and that they intend to keep the item. While this would be difficult to enforce, I would simply hope that those rolling for a piece of gear roll for it, intending to use it, not for resale.
* BoE Rule: All BoE bracers and belts will be rolled on at the end of the raid, after Ragnaros is dead, only those who need them (level 60-64) may roll for them if they have not received an epic that run. This does not apply to BE pallys. Also please be aware you will be expected to equip the bracer or belt when you recieve it, as a preventative measure to ensure no one rolls with the intention of selling them.
* 7/8 Rule: A player with 7/8 of an armor set, may have first choice to get the gear, but must prove they have the other items by wearing it (i.e., bring the gear with you).
* One epic per run: All players in the raid may receive one epic armor a run, the only exception to this rule is if a player is willing to give up 50 gold for a second epic item. This would occur if player wins a roll or does a suicide (if they didn’t get the first epic without doing it) for a second epic item. While the amount sounds harsh, it is to discourage players from getting more than one epic per run, but leave open the window for those focused on a certain item, a chance. However a player does not need to pay 50 gold if the second win, gives them 8/8 to a set. This option is also available to out of guild members if no one is willing to suicide for an item.
*Sunshine Clause: If a raid member would really want a desired epic item they can offer to purchase it off the winner, but only for 100g no more, no less. That way people who truly want a specific item and are willing to pay, have that option. Especially with the fact of MC being the last one for some time.
2.5 – Guild Bank Items
While the vast majority of items will be handed out to the raid in comparison to raids in the past. Some items will be sent to the guild bank, which are as follows;
* Essence of Fire: For Major Fire Resistance Potions (new FR pot in BC and for Onyxia Cloaks),
* Sulfurion Ingots: For “Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros”,
* Fiery Cores: “But” only if someone was to get their second binding for Thunderfury until then Fiery Cores will be greed rolled on.
2.6 – Profession Recipes
All profession recipes that drop will be open rolled on by raid members of that profession. Just remember these plans are BoP, so you must be rolling for the two profession you currently have.
