I'm going for the most number of posts evar!
As a guild there are a few things we need to discuss about BWL. First, the information. I have made a couple of posts about things we need for BWL from hunters and warriors... READ IT. We also need Ony cloaks, which we will provide you, however you must be ony attuned to get such a cloak (at least from us) so, GET ONY ATTUNED. FR becomes even more important in BWL, so make sure you have Fire gear.
As your GM I have always stressed that this guild is for people with lives. People who cannot dedicate all of their time to Raids and such. That will not change as long as you keep me as GM. (The reelection vote was last night and I won 1-0 once again. Sorry if you missed it.) However, I believe VERY strongly in rewarding those who do put in the time and extra effort. As such the beginning of BWL will be hard, probably as hard as Ven was when we started ZG, or Luci was when we first hit MC. I think our raid experience will help us, but I fully expect to wipe and wipe a lot. (The reward part is coming.)
We will be modifying our current DKP policy slightly to take this into account. BWL Beginning of Raid DKP will be 15 DKP (20 DKP if we have 40 ppl at raid start), not 5. Anyone who stays for 3 RG attempts including the first (or is present during the first kill) will earn 20 more DKP. As for DKP bonus for the first kill, well I think you've seen how I handle that in the past, so I promise it will be something special.
This means that you can earn as much DKP in the first BWL encounter as you can in a full ZG raid or most of a MC raid. These bonuses will be in effect until RG has been mastered, and then we'll move them onto Vael and so on. BWL is very different from everything we've done before. It requires complete Raid coordination and hard work from everyone. Keep it up Exiled.
The last thing to cover will be to decide which night we will try BWL. We will continue to keep Fri and Sat free from set raids. For now, MC will remain on Wed and Sun. Last week we did all 5 priests and Hakkar in a single night. With the exception of Mandokir (which is an easy kill) that means we really only need a single night for ZG. I am suggesting Tue or Thurs. Please respond with your choice for day of the week. The Raid will start later than normal (7:00 - 7:30 perhaps) as there aren't any trash mobs to kill before RG. We can literally zone in and begin. I expect to spend max 2 hours in BWL, probably more like an hour. We will also more than likely go to ONY afterwards, numbers permitting.
